Chickens Cause Cancer??

Why Did the Chicken Cross The Road?

The world's first ever joke, and an important question for the us Dweller's of Heck. This question fuelled not only today's strip but many others.

In fact, it might just be possible that we are the Web's premier site for Chicken humour.
(Though probably not.)
So, In the interest of being the definitive site for chicken News on the net I offer this, a cute piece of local chicken news -
WHY did the chickens cross the road? To get away from Stonnington Council.

To lazy to click on the link? Well I don't blame you, so I'll summarise.
A family living in Malvern East (here in Melbourne) have been ordered by the evil, chicken-hating, Stonnington Council, to get rid of their chickens.

Now there are a few curious things to this story.
firstly, (and most glaringly), across the road, which is part of Monash council, Household's can keep up to five chickens.
Which is sensible in a day and age with a growing emphasis on green-living. (as amongst bonuses Keeping chickens as pets is a rather responsible way to get eggs).
But, chickens cluck right? and this is what the neighbours have complained about. Never mind that (the neighbours) Dogs bark. Loudly. Easily drowning out the meager noise of the chickens and without any environmentally friendly considerations.
(not that I'd say Dogs are evil, but they are)
Thirdly there’s Stonnington council's response to the rather horrified family - "Chickens cause Vermin"
Funny, I thought that is was baby chickens that were hatched from the eggs, when in fact it turns out that what really hatches from eggs looks like this -->

Well, perhaps I'm paraphrasing, but till next time,
Cheers,
-Kale
