A Change of Pace

First, an announcement;
I've started my small business. Nothing major, just a small cartoon logo design thing. The site is still a little threadbare, and the client base is small, but, it marks a major achievement for me lately (this site will be dotted with links to it very soon I'm sure)

Secondly;
This will be the last regular "Gag-a-day" strip and post for a while.
It's also dedicated to my son, who gave me the idea for it.

What will be taking it's place?
Well, I've decided to mix things up a little, and take this in a slightly different direction.
The posts have always been a little autobiographical here. It was never the intention, but, that's what they end up being.
So, I've decided to embrace that.
See, I've had a pretty crap life. Oh sure, I know a lot of other people have too. But by western world standards I've seen (and survived) the very bottom of the pile. And, as most of this was when I was a child; it's left me with a few issues (okay, a lot), I've begun seeing a therapist about these issues and have started keeping a cartoon diary about this.
Which I'm going to post here,
A deeply personal look into my life.

And following that?
Well, I've got a small graphic novel that has been taking shape in my head for some time now. Its current working title is "Hardcastle; Hip Deep In Fae Blood", basically a Noir-style Detective story, with a few twists (of course) and a fair smattering of the supernatural. It'll also be rather character driven and explore cultural diversity and maintain a black humour throughout.

And by the time that's all out there? Well, it'll probably be getting close to Christmas time. So, I've begun work on the Christmas gags (that will also double as Christmas Cards), and even hope to get out a calendar (at the very least as a gift to immediate friends and family) And perhaps, finally, that Chicken joke book will be ready.
