Okay, so I know that there aren't that many "Life in Heck" readers out there, but I have an important question for the fans - The Update Schedule, what should it be?
Though, brief segway approaching, it's worth mentioning a bit of Backstory first. At the beginning of this year I decided that i'd put a little more effort into the whole comic artistry thing, and I set myself an aspirational target. The goal was to get a booth at a comic-con later this year (Armageddon, here in Melbourne) . And to do this I'd need content to shill, the main one being a graphic novel idea thats been kicking around for a while (A noir detective story with supenatural twist), But to work up to it I also wanted to do a more personal "Therapy Diaries" type graphic novel, as well as finishing the current Zombie Elvis stories (which has taught me tons about page layouts etc) along with a possible collected works pof the Chicken Sunday jokes, all of which would be shown here as it went along..
So far I'm on track for this.
So tying this back to the present, I'd thought that perhaps keeping "Life in Heck" daily would be the best plan for this, and to achieve this I've been cutting the Elvis pages into smaller pages, which I think detracts from their overall look and feel. (to help illustrate the difference, today I've posted the full page of what was shown as the last 3 strips or to get a better idea of what most of the full pages have looked like head over to the Zombie Elvis Archives.)
So here's the question, should I continue updating daily in this way OR instead update with a full comics page on Tuesdays and Thursdays (either way Saturdays would remain a sketch day, and Sundays will stay Chicken jokes)
I want to hear what you think, so let me know at kaleldakitty@optusnet.com.au,
Cheers,
-K
